How to start using the slicing software

There are many different slicing software on the market, and we use the two most common open source slicing software: KISSlicer and Cura to provide configuration files and basic teaching for Atom.

Of course, if you have already started, you can also choose other software for your needs.

※ If your machine is a single-extrusion model, Cura is recommended for novices, and KISSlicer is recommended for advanced users. ※ If your machine is a dual-extrusion model, it is recommended that you use Cura.

You don’t need to worry about licensing or software costs. With a large number of users, it’s easy to find relevant resources on the Internet.

Slice profile input-Cura

1. Please download Cura and install it; click "View all versions" to find version 15.04.6, which is currently the most stable version for printing two colors.

2. Download the correct Cura slicer software according to your own computer system. (Take macOS as an example)

3. After the installation is successful, put the configuration file captured on the official website into the relevant folder according to your computer system.

Windows [ Cura > Resources > machine_profiles ]

macOS [ Cura > Contents > Resources > machine_profiles ]

4. Open Cura, and follow the steps below to add Atom to complete the setting. It is recommended to add machine configuration files for single material and dual material separately.

Setting completed!

1. After decompressing the downloaded configuration file, place the configuration file in the root folder of KISSlicer.

2. If KISSlicer is running, please close the program first.

3. Run kisslicer.exe, and the configuration file in the same folder will be substituted at this time.

4. Read the file in .STL format and perform slice analysis.

This configuration file is set for the Atom 3D printer. Please keep both the configuration file and the program file in the same folder.

The KISSlicer profile cannot be imported successfully?
